The best way to think about prospect refuge is a space/spot where you can see several different views, preferably nothing/ no one can come from behind. 

  • EX: Booth connor seat
  • EX: Church sets 
  • EX: Benches 

Those three examples are the spot where you have at least three different views or more, and people tend to feel very comfortable in them.

One example I feel most comfortable in is in the spot in the classroom with the wall to my back, not the seats in the middle but the seats at the end of the rows. You can see just about every view and you can leave whenever needed without interpreting anything.

 Everyone has different proxemics; they are sometimes seen as boundaries we have for strangers. How close we want them to be before it starts to make us uncomfortable or for certain loved ones how we do not mind for some to be so close to us.  Before covid-  proximity never crossed my mind in 2019, I did the most traveling that year than ever before, from planes, boats, trains, and buses, to long lines at the theme parks. My Design Philosophy

Why am I here? What is my passion? What drives me in design?    Well, I don't know the answer to that. I do know I am passionate about all types of art, and I know a lot about construction. With that a while back I had to pick a major I went to the elder of my family and asked for advice. That advice was to give the design a try, and that's what I am doing. I find it interesting, I find joy in seeing what I create come to life in a living space,  but I have not found my passion. Not yet at least.
